Planview cited as a “Leader” in Enterprise Architecture Management Suites by Independent Research Firm
AUSTIN, Texas – June 15, 2017
Today Planview® announced that, in the June 2017, Forrester Wave™ evaluation, Enterprise Architecture Management Suites, Q2 2017, Forrester Research named Planview a Leader for Troux®, the company’s enterprise capability and technology management product. Planview earned the highest scores possible for product vision, delivery model, market approach, and planned enhancements.
The world of the enterprise architecture (EA) professional is changing dramatically. According to the Forrester report, “A recent Forrester survey of EA pros reflects the scope changes of EA. It showed that the primary drivers for EA had moved from focusing on purely technology landscape modeling to a mix of supporting tech management and enabling execution of business strategy.”1
The report also stated, “The EAMS market is shifting because more EA pros see collaboration with subject matter experts as a way to address their firms’ top challenges. EA pros are challenging EAMS providers to deliver capabilities that enable a better experience for both EA and non-EA pros.”2
“Now more than ever, enterprise architects need to link technology plans to business outcomes to enable strategic execution across the organization. Troux addresses this need with a unified, portfolio-centric user experience that provides a single place for analyzing and managing capabilities and technology,” said Patrick Tickle, Planview chief product officer. “The Planview solution for EA is built on Troux as the core, with expanded capabilities in strategic planning and work collaboration that brings together EA pros and non-EA pros alike to accelerate business transformation.”
“Planview has the unique ability to address EA, IT governance, and project management disciplines within one product portfolio management function,” said John McFarland, director of IT business management at Moffitt Cancer Center. “With the Planview solution for EA, including Troux, Moffitt has been able to establish a portfolio-based governance structure that drives strategic technology and investment decisions along with effective execution. We are able to have the conversations that matter, to drive digital transformation across the organization.”
On May 31, 2017, Planview introduced Troux 14. With its intuitive, portfolio-centric user experience, every user can analyze the technology landscape all in one place. New strategic planning capabilities enable enterprise architecture leaders to drive top-down strategy across the organization’s investment, capability, application, project, product, and technology portfolios.
