In rapidly growing work collaboration market, Projectplace is a leader
AUSTIN, Texas – October 25, 2016
Planview®, the global leader in work and resource management, today announced that Forrester Research and Constellation Research have identified Projectplace as a leader in the rapidly growing work collaboration market.
The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Collaborative Work Management, Q4 2016 named Projectplace a “Leader,” the highest possible designation. Forrester evaluated 13 collaborative work management providers against 25 criteria that looked at the providers’ current offering, strategy and market presence. Projectplace by Planview received the highest possible score for team management, reporting, globalization, security and mobile.
“Digitalization, globalization and changes in the workforce are driving teams and organizations to look for new ways to get work done,” said Patrick Tickle, chief product officer for Planview. “We are proud to have been designated as a Leader in this new Wave report, and we believe this research emphatically validates our mission give our customers the broadest range of work and resource management solutions.”
In the report, Margo Visitacion of Forrester Research wrote, “Customer-obsessed firms take an outside-in approach, relying heavily on collaboration, to deliver desirable products and services,” adding, “Whether it’s a project or a repeatable business process such as customer service or onboarding new employees, people need a way to organize their work.”

“The explosive growth of enterprise collaboration software has created a new set of demands on employees’ time and attention,” Alan Lepofsky of Constellation Research said in the report. “A new type of tool is needed – one that combines the collaboration features of social networking software with the organizational and task features of project management software.”
